Bottas won the race, but not Hamilton!
Before the race start, Lewis Hamilton was practicing his grid start, just next to the box exit, but a bit ahead of the usual place, where the drivers use to practice. The commissioners interpreted that he violated the rules, two times, giving him two, 5 seconds penalty, which was paid during the race, later determining the race final result.
Bottas won the race with Verstappen in 2nd and Hamilton in 3rd. The British driver did not win his 91st GP, so the record of Michael Schumacher was is still not match yet, with the 10 seconds penalty, due to the irregular grid start practice, Lewis was unable to fight for the first positions.
Peréz did a great job finishing in 4th, the Mexican driver was consistency enough finishing just ahead of Riccardo in 5th, also a good performance from the Australian.
An expected good performance from Leclerc, who finished in 6th, just ahead of Esteban Ocon from Renault in 7th.
The Russian driver Daniil Kvyatt in his home GP finished in 8th position, ahead of his team mate Pierre Gasly in 9th, completing the top 10, Alex Albon in 10th.
Big crash on the first lap, with Carlos Sainz hitting the wall, the Spanish driver was unable to avoid it, causing the entrance of the Safety car to clean the track, also because Lance Stroll from the Racing Point crashed as well a bit after Sainz in lap 1 as well.
