Formula-1 is in Italy for the Romagna GP!
Last time in Imola
The last time F-1 run in Imola was in 2006, at that time the San Marino GP, as it was known before, had as a starting grid, Michael Schumacher, Jason Button, Rubens Barrichello, Felipe Massa and Fernando Alonso, on the first five positions respectively.
This is also the same track where Ayrton Senna, who tragically passed away on a accident, during the race, back in 1994, and it was modified since then to be more secure. The Tamburello corner received an "S" to reduce the speed and make it safe, it was well known as one of the most dangerous corners in F1 before.
For this weekend, Pierre Gasly will be racing with a special helmet, in tribute for Senna, as it has the same colors of the used helmet by the famous Brazilian driver.
What to expect from Romagna GP 2020?
Bottas will start in the front, with his team mate Hamilton in second, followed by Verstappen in third, as usual.
Best of the rest, Pierre Gasly, in an incredible fourth place, just ahead of Riccardo in fifth. Alex Albon after having 8 times his time deleted, will start in sixth, with Charles Leclerc in seventh, the other Ferrari of Vettel, will start in 14th, just behind George Russell from in Williams in 13th.
The circuit is really narrow, so it will be difficult for the drivers to overtake during the race, it is possible that the starting positions will not change much, but I hope I am wrong and we can see a good race back in Imola.
Please, see the highlight for the Qualifying on the link below.
Hope to see a great Romagna race for this year of 2020!
